Founded in May 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic by Victoria Clair – Owner & Baker.
Half way through Lockdown, Victoria felt the desire to bring homemade treats, freshly baked to people’s doors.
With her love of Afternoon Tea combined with her passion for baking from scratch, she created Mad Hatter with the plan to give people the enjoyment of Afternoon Tea in the comfort & safety of their own home.
Little did she realise how well it would flourish as the amazing reviews started to flood in. With the support from family & friends Mad Hatter became a success, going from strength to strength. She added the Bakes to the end of the name for advertising so people were aware it was a food related business.
Victoria decided Mad Hatter was the best suited name for her new business venture as Alice In Wonderland is one of her favourite childhood books, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is associated widely with Afternoon Tea & she definitely thinks she’s mad to put her all into a business with 2 small children in tow & a full time job which she has now left to keep up with the demands of her growing business.
No stranger to running a business & baking, Victoria has previously owned Cake Shop’s, a Tea Room & been a recommended Wedding Cake supplier for many popular hotels. She took a break to start a family & has now found her passion for baking again.
Using only the finest ingredients, Victoria’s standards will never fault. She absolutely loves everything about Afternoon Tea, amazing tasting, freshly baked scones & cakes and what better way to enjoy it then delivered to your door.
